A Day in the Life

by Caterina
Hi all

Yesterday was an exceptional day. It didn't start out that way though. The last week was spent dealing with downed servers and transferring domains to better hosting. These were my own projects not the turnkey businesses that I mention on my blog. My turnkey businesses run themselves and if a server goes down the owner of the companies handle it with their team of techs.

As I spent hours of each day with tech support for my own projects, I was reminded yet again of why I only invest in turnkey businesses for my sources of income. I do not have to have a tech team on call. I do not have to worry about customer complaints. I just let them handle the headaches and go back to enjoying my day.

This is my favorite automated business, for those of you who are intererested:

They handle everything from hosting the websites to writing the follow up to handling the sales and beyond. All I have to do each month is pay for advertising through the company that they recommend. That is it. Sales come in and I enjoy my life.

Anyway, back to my day. I finally decided that cussing a blue street over a down server was not doing me any good. It was out of my hands and I just had to let my hosting company get things up and running. So I called my good friends Dan and Matt and asked if they wanted to go to a movie. They said yes and off we went - only to find the movie sold out.

At this point, I started laughing. I mean what else was there to do. Getting upset hadn't helped me the past week. So we decided to go to a new place recommended by the Orlando Sentinel called Kava Cove. Kave, for those of you who are not familiar is an herb. They make it into a drink that tastes, I am sorry to say like dirt. That said, it is absolutely amazing when you need to relax.

When we walked in, it was like walking into a manifestation. The week before I had been thinking that I would love to find a cafe to work in that had really comfy seats. This place ONLY had comfy seats to sit on. Wonderful couches near electric plugs for my computer and free wi-fi. Hallelujah! I found my new office away from the office.

The people working at Kava Cove are awesome. They explained the different types of Kava and how to drink it to get the effects without being horrified by the taste. So there we were sipping our Kava and the most amazing thing happened. My stress melted away. We sat there for hours and came up with some awesome ideas for a project that we could start together just for the heck of it. This amazing sense of synergy was at work. Ideas flowed and we smiled and laughed more than we had in ages. This cafe is now one of our favorite spots.

When we finally left and went home, I crawled into bed and had one of the best sleeps of my life and I awoke ready to face the day.
